Born from their mutual desire to create an elegant and refined collection that perfectly defines the modern woman, Zara Phillips and John Calleija have fused their unique talents to conceive a contemporary yet timeless collection.

The collection initially arose from a meeting between Zara Phillips and John Calleija on the golden sands of Surfers Paradise Beach Australia in 2013, when Zara visited in her role as Ambassador of Racing Women Australia and Calleija was the Official Jeweller for the Magic Millions Horse Racing Carnival – roles which continue for them both. Zara was dressed in Calleija jewels for the beachside Barrier Draw, an incredible event that sees horses galloping along the beach, with over 1,000 people watching the sunrise and the spectacle.

Talking about the partnership, Zara Phillips said: “From the very first meeting with John, I felt an instant connection to Calleija’s designs – it felt fantastic to wear them. John and I talked then about creating something together and how great it could be. We agreed that, for it to truly represent our personalities, we would both need to play an active role in the designs, from the choice of gemstones through to the overall finish, and that is what has happened. Based on some amazing sketches John did, we discussed how each piece would reflect the spirit of Unbridled Elegance – the theme on which we had decided for our collection and I am really delighted with the finished pieces. I am no jewellery designer but I have had a great time working on this with John and Calleija and I hope everyone enjoys the collection as much as we have enjoyed putting it together.”

The collection currently comprises of the Saddle Suite and Coronet Suite. Each piece has unique character and is hand-finished in platinum, white, yellow or rose gold, and pave set with complementing diamonds. Using only the world’s finest gemstones Zara Phillips and John Calleija have created modern, wearable works of art to be worn by those who share their spirit for life.

The Saddle Suite, aptly named to represent Zara’s deep-seated love of eventing and Calleija’s passion for beautifully shaped jewellery, embraces undulating curves and bold designs. The Saddle Ring is available in a selection of finishes including, Full Pave Set, Edge Grain Set, Filigree Finish and bespoke detailing. The collection comprises of Earrings, Pendants, a Cuff and Gents Cufflinks. The Coronet Suite

As a naturally gifted horsewoman, Zara has forged a bold path, undaunted by hurdles and succeeding on her own talents to pursue her dream and become a celebrated Olympic medallist. Zara has an innate understanding of excellence and style that have influenced her choices for this collection.

One of the strongest parts of a horse is the Coronet, a band on the hoof that provides resilience and power. Mirroring this element of unwavering tenacity, The Coronet Suite proudly showcases a confident glamour featuring nature’s strongest element, White Diamonds. Beautifully set in symmetrically curved arcs, the collection consists of hand-finished Rings, Pendants and Earrings.

Calleija has translated Zara’s equine passion through this unique jewellery collection, flawlessly harnessing the beauty of restraint. The pieces are bold whilst still retaining a rare beauty and grace. They have a sense of theatre but at the same time are a perfect balance of elegant simplicity.
